Last week I knitted this cowl designed by Jenny Watson for Louisa Harding. The pattern also includes a scarf, hat and wrist warmers
and uses Louisa Harding's yarn Mazzo and Marmo. Meaning Bouquet in Italian, Mazzo ' blends subtle and bright shades into captivating whirlpools of colour' and is 60% cotton and 40% polyamide. Marmo is from the Italian for marble or marble-like,' this yarn from Louisa juxtaposes colour in delicate symphony. Knitting as an Aran, Marmo offers a quick project best suited to long summer evenings' and is 50% cotton and 50 acrylic.
The pattern states that 2 hanks of Marmo and one of Mazzo are needed for this project, however I got mine comfortable from one ball of each. This picture below shows how much of each I had left over.
The pattern was easy to follow and this was a fast knit and the finished fabric had a lovely drapey feel. I knitted this as a sample for CoolCrafting. It only went onto the Skipton shop last Monday so I haven't had any feedback yet.
