Plump, Plump it up

March 7, 2017

Lately I have been working a lot with Plump Superchunky from Mrs Moon. This is a fabulously soft yarn created from superfine merino and baby alpaca makes the most velvety pom poms and is guaranteed to cheer up a dull winter day.

This yarn comes in a range of colours designed to make your mouth water and dream of a luscious afternoon tea. Choose from Darjeeling or Earl Grey and then maybe a scone with Damson Jam, Lemon Curd or Marmalade and then a cake to go with your tea,  Fondant Fancy,  Blueberry Muffin, Cherry Pie, Pavlova, Rhubarb Crumble or maybe some Gooseberry Fool, Pistachio or Raspberry Ripple ice cream. And if you are still hungry after all of that then why not try a Bon Bon, Peppemint Cream, Marshmallow or Sugared Almond. Unfortunately my pictures taken on a grey day don't do the fabulous colours justice.

Plump knits up into a beautifully soft fabric. Because the yarn is loosely spun it does have a tendency to split a bit but it is well worth persevering as the result is so gorgeous. I have created some knitting patterns for this lovely yarn. A one-ball short cowl, two ball pull through scarf and one ball pom pom hat all in an offset rib pattern.
